We begin our experience with the Red Rock Cuisines Tour in Calibishie.

The tour begins at the chocolate factory, where you observe the process of making the chocolates from cocoa bean to bar! Guests get to sample the different flavours which they can also purchase.

From the factory, we head down the trail to the black sand beach “Ti baptist.” You will be amazed as you walk along the beach how the black sand trembles beneath your feet. Then up the trail through the family cemetery to twin rock and across to Red Rock. You will visit the caves and have breathtaking views of Marie Galante, Les Saintes and Guadeloupe. At the other end of the Rock, you can see the villages of Thibaud, Vielle Case, and Pennville. The tour ends at the Red Rocks bar with an impressive variety of local rum punches for sampling. 

After Red Rock, we drive to the nearby village of Bense for a leisurely half-hour walk along the trail to the Chaudiere Falls and its magnificent pool.

This is a great time to take a cool river bath. On the trail walking through agricultural farms, you can observe Cacao, Coffee and Spice Trees or the Vanilla “the world’s longest growing orchid, same as some of our different bush medicine.

The Chaudiere river and pool flows from Morne Diablotin, Dominica tallest Mountain.
