Northern Tour
Details & Itinerary
After breakfast, we drive to Portsmouth via the northeast coast. Along the way, we point out the different sites where filming of Pirates of the Caribbean I and II took place.
Once we arrive in Portsmouth, you will board a small wooden boat and take a scenic 20-minute ride up the Indian River. You will travel through a swamp and wetland of impressive mang trees with their large buttress roots, in many ways reminding you of a trip up the Amazon.
We then make a stop at a local bar next to the river and later view the house of Calypso used in Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man’s Chest.
When we return from the boat ride, we will take a picnic on one of the volcanic sand beaches in Portsmouth.
Before we head back to the guesthouse, we visit the historical Fort Shirley of Cabrits National Park. Here you can explore the historical fort and see impressive views of the surrounding bays and mountains.
