We also went for a night out at a local karaoke bar. During our stay we enjoyed breakfasts served by Rita and dinners made by superman Nigel! Of course we also tried the rum punches in the bar.

 

We weren't looking for sand and drinks but a real local look-see. Thanks to Nigel, Nora, Rita, Sam, Kai,Happy & Scotty (& others) we felt so at home. With Typical Island friendliness, and a flexible morning schedule we meandered from river rafting to bathing in the many Island waterfalls.

 

Lovely place right in the middle of Dominica´s beautiful nature. I stayed in one of the tree bungalow´s which had a queen size bed and a decent size bathroom. It is really like living right in the middle of nature! I went for the river tubing ride which is just across the street and it was fun and actually very relaxing.

 

This is absolutely the perfect place to stay in Dominica. First, the property is beautiful...in the jungle! Second, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful...sweet people! And thirdly, the dinners and drinks in the on-site restaurant and bar are the very best I’ve had ever. Caribbean cuisine at its finest...and the best part? Very inexpensive! You’d pay three times the amount for that kind of quality in the US.

 

Einfach traumhaft!! Wer die Natur liebt, wird auch diese Unterkunft lieben. Schöne einfache Bungalows mitten im Grünen. Sehr gutes Frühstück, dass Karin und die anderen Mädchen jeden Früh mit viel Liebe zubereiten. Nigel zaubert jeden Abend ein sehr gutes Essen auf die Teller. Zu Weihnachten gab es zwei leckere Truthähne. Kai und Nora Ihr macht das toll und habt ein tolles Team. Alles Liebe und Gute von Ute

 

Simply fantastic!! Those who love nature will also love this accommodation. Nice simple bungalows in the middle of the green. Very good breakfast that Karin and the other girls prepare with a lot of love every morning. Nigel conjures up a very good meal on the plate every evening. There were two delicious turkeys for Christmas. Kai and Nora you do it great and you have a great team. All the best from Ute

 

I loved my stay at Hibiscus Valley Inn! It has everything I wanted in a vacation in Dominica: the setting, the wonderful meals, the tours that were offered. The staff is thoughtful and kind, and as many other reviewers have commented, Nigel is an incredible chef. I stayed in a cabin, which was basic as I expected but very comfortable. I usually like to travel independently and don't tend to book tours, but driving in Dominica is not for the faint of heart, and the guides we met were just wonderful. We did things I would have never done by myself, like a hike into the woods where we cooked lunch on an open fire by the river. Other highlights were Titou Gorge, Indian River, Kalinago Barana Aute and Emerald Pool. Hibiscus Valley Inn makes it very easy to explore the island, and at the same time has none of the 'corporate' feel that you get in resorts. It's a family-run business, using local guides and growing much of its own food right on site - it's one of those places that is so hard to come by, and I would warmly recommend it.

Very warm and welcoming staff. Treated us like a family. Easy and quick tour organize for our short stay. Excellent dinner, Nigel is one of the best chefs you can ever imagen. Best food we had in Dominica. Excellent. Fun to interact with the other guests for dinner. Breakfast to all very delicious and nutritious. Its just worth lying in the hammock while watching the Hummingbirds and Lizards in the wonderful garden. The natural pool just amazing for a swim just before breakfast. Not luxurious but everything is comfortable and just right. Totally new renovated bungalow room. Fresh, cosy and clean.

Place: The Pagua River runs right next to the Hibiscus Valley Inn hotel, which has water that is absolutely pristine and untouched. Swim in it!!!
Staying at Hibiscus Valley Inn was like staying at a family home, instead of some large impersonal box hotel. The whole place just has a good feel to it and it vibes very well with the surrounding nature. During my evening time, the dinners at Hibiscus Valley Inn were filled with awesome local cuisine, fresh ingredients, and absolutely delicious food! I will return to Dominica at some point in the future, but there will only be one hotel I will stay in, and that would be here.
