We hike from Hibiscus Valley after breakfast and taking us up over a ridge with a beautiful view along the way we will pass gardens on our way to Kalinago territory. There we will visit the Kalinago Barana Aute, meaning village by the sea, and an experienced Kalinago guide will walk you through the history of his people. You will learn how they made the famous Cassava bread, the dug-out canoes, their award-winning crafts and their traditional way of building houses. For those who want to hike back, this is also an option, or the bus will bring you back. This is part of segment 6 of Waitukubuli National Trail which takes you back to Hibiscus Valley.<\/p>\n
The hike is partly in the rainforest and partly through the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n
